BIO

Jordan Micheal Peterson

Jordan was born in Willcox, Arizona, but moved to Long Beach, California shortly after he was born when his father accepted a job there. After a few years in southern California, Jordan and his family moved back to his parent’s home state of Nebraska. It was there that Jordan developed a love of music.

Music was always an important component of the Peterson household. Jordan’s musical interests were influenced early by rides in his father’s 1962 Thunderbird and the sounds coming from the 8-Track player. Jordan developed a love of funk music listening to such bands as Earth Wind and Fire and the Commodores.

Jordan took to the piano early as his mother had him take piano lessons with a local teacher, which he quickly outgrew. To keep pace with Jordan’s accelerated learning, his parents made weekly two-hour trips to Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa.  It was here that Jordan started to shine.

Jordan expanded his love of music by writing and recording his first CD at the tender age of 14. He expanded upon that love of music and performing by performing and starring in multiple musicals at O’Neill High School. His talent quickly caught the attention of the University of Nebraska at Kearney who offered him a scholarship in their musical theatre program. While studying theatre at UNK, Jordan had the opportunity to perform in various summer stock productions across the country.

Jordan performed in, and starred in, many musical productions at UNK and graduated with a Musical Theatre Degree in 2012.

After graduation, Jordan applied for several positions from a dueling piano performer to cruise ship entertainer.  He was offered, and accepted his first contract on a cruise ship with the Celebrity Summit as a solo piano/vocal entertainer in 2013 aboard the Celebrity Summit in March of 2013.
